What Is Heritage Rough Sawn Timber Flooring?

Heritage Rough Sawn Timber Flooring is an engineered timber flooring product featuring a genuine recycled timber surface with authentic mill-sawn character.

Unlike conventional pre-finished flooring, Heritage Rough Sawn Timber Flooring is supplied raw, unsanded and uncoated. This preserves the original saw marks, texture, grain variation and natural character of the recycled timber while allowing the end user or installer to determine the final appearance of the floor.

Mill Sawn, Raw and Unfinished

The flooring is supplied in its raw mill-sawn state, with the original surface texture and saw marks intentionally retained.

No factory sanding or coating is applied. Final sanding and coating are completed after installation, giving the installer or end user control over the finished appearance.

Choose Your Level of Finish

One of the defining features of Heritage Rough Sawn Timber Flooring is the ability to determine how rustic or refined the completed floor will look.

A light sand can retain much of the original mill-sawn texture and saw marks for a highly rustic, heritage-inspired appearance.

Further sanding progressively reduces the surface texture, creating a smoother and more refined floor while still retaining the natural grain and character of the recycled timber.

The desired finished appearance should be discussed with your flooring installer before sanding begins.
