The mostly straight grained Victorian ash can have what is known as a fiddleback look. This means that the grain is straight in some parts and then wavy in others. The timber’s colour can range anywhere from a yellowish brown all the way to a pale yellow or a light pink. Victorian ash usually features gum veins.
